Panasonic lawsuits say Broadcom violated computer tech patents

(Reuters) – Japanese electronics maker Panasonic accused chipmaker Broadcom Corp of violating its rights in several computer system-technological innovation patents in Texas federal courtroom Thursday.

Panasonic Holdings Corp explained to the court that Broadcom rejected its presents to talk about a license to its patent portfolio, which it said included a “wide array” of Broadcom goods.

The two lawsuits say Broadcom items including microprocessors, integrated circuits and parts applied in wi-fi networking infringe 10 Panasonic patents.

Broadcom, Panasonic, and Panasonic’s attorneys did not right away respond to requests for comment.

Panasonic requested the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas for an unspecified quantity of funds damages and a court docket get forever blocking Broadcom from violating its patent rights.

The lawsuits also claimed Broadcom infringed the patents willfully, noting that Broadcom experienced cited some of them in its personal patent applications.

Broadcom previously sued Panasonic, Toyota and some others in another Texas court more than Toyota infotainment programs it explained violate its patents. The enterprise missing its bid for an import ban at the U.S. International Trade Fee centered on the allegations, and the get-togethers agreed to dismiss the Texas case in Could.
